Since winning the Dudley International Piano Competition and a Maisie Lewis Young Artists Award which sponsored his London debut in the Purcell Room, Paul has performed as soloist throughout Great Britain, in France, Spain, Poland, Finland and Canada, playing on radio and TV in this country, Poland and Canada. He has also played as soloist with the Bournemouth Symphony and Sinfonietta Orchestras, and the London Symphony Orchestra in the London Barbican.

He has accompanied various artists, both vocal and instrumental, in the Purcell Room and Queen Elizabeth Hall, on Radio 3 and Classic FM and in recitals throughout the UK. He has performed as orchestral pianist with the English Chamber Orchestra and the Bournemouth Orchestras with which he has appeared in proms, one televised (Carmina Burana), broadcasts both live and recorded (including Petrushka) and CD's (including Bernstein's Fancy Free with Andrew Litton). He has also played for many years with Kokoro, the contemporary music ensemble of the BSO and has performed chamber music with many varied groups of musicians. He has recently played with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, has accompanied auditions for the Philharmonia Orchestra and has played for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

He has recorded and performed film music with Debbie Wiseman and Carl Davis, with whom he recorded a number of the Thames Silent Films. He is based in Buckinghamshire and works in and around London, the Midlands and the South of England.
